The St. James Fordham Food Pantry

St. James Place Services is the non-profit parent of the Food Pantry. We seek to serve people in the
St. James Fordham neighborhood of the Bronx in
New York City by:

Offering programs that meet the physical, financial,
and educational needs of the community.

Empowering and equipping all persons with the knowledge and skills to realize their potential as people and members
of the community.

FAST FACTS:

1853: St. James Church, Fordham incorporates

1864: Cornerstone laid for the current church

1980: The church is designated a landmark by the Landmark Preservation Committee

October 2017: The parish creates the food pantry

June 2021: The food pantry incorporates as a 501(c)(3) corporation, St. James Place Services

2025: The food pantry served more than 30,000 people over 190,000 meals.

We are funded by generous donations by individuals, the New York City’s Mayor’s Office, the Episcopal Diocese of New York, the Bloomberg Foundation, and many parishes in the New York City metro area.
